Almond Resorts' first Barbados south coast oasis to open in July 2007

The opening of Almond Casuarina Beach Resort, Almond Resorts’ third property on Barbados is just six months away. The new four-star premium all-inclusive hotel, will open on the South Coast on 1 July 2007, and will feature 269 rooms with all the high-quality facilities of Almond’s two other four-star premium all-inclusive Barbados properties, but offer guests the chance to experience life on the other side of the island.
Situated on Dover Beach, one of the best powdery white beaches on the island and close to St Lawrence Gap amidst 60 acres of land, the hotel facilities will include three swimming pools, a fitness centre, tennis courts and a range of water sports with free tuition. Guests will enjoy three a la carte restaurants including international and traditional Caribbean cuisine as well as a fine dining establishment, four bars all serving premium brand drinks and cocktails, and a spa with treatments available at a locally payable additional cost.
Families staying at Almond Casuarina Beach Resort will be able to take advantage of the children’s club, which is offered Free as part of the all-inclusive package and offers children different programmes aimed at children aged from newborn infants up to 16 years old. For the evenings, if parents need a break from their children a private babysitting service is available for a locally payable fee.
This new property will also be ideal as a new incentive destination with a conference centre to be built to house around 100 people while the hotel offers easy access to the nightlife on the south coast of the island for groups staying at Almond Casuarina Beach Resort.
Guests will also have access to facilities at its existing sister hotels, the family-friendly Almond Beach Village and adults-only Almond Beach Club & Spa on the west coast of Barbados. This includes access to the 9-hole golf course at Almond Beach Village with free tuition, the newly refurbished Spa at Almond Beach Club & Spa and sampling all of the a la carte restaurants and bars; as part of the “Dine Around” programme at no additional charge.
When Almond Casuarina Beach Resort opens, Almond Resorts will own and manage nearly 900 four-star hotel rooms across Barbados and over 700 rooms on St Lucia, making it one of the largest hotel groups in the Eastern Caribbean.
With a number of Cricket World Cup matches being held on Barbados in March and April 2007, Almond Resorts is already seeing high demand for accommodation at all its properties for this period. However, packages at Almond Casuarina Beach Resort as well as Almond’s other two Barbados properties for these Cricket World Cup dates in mid March and late April are still available through major tour operators.
Most major UK Tour Operators sell holiday packages to Almond Resorts including Virgin Holidays, BA Holidays, Thomas Cook Signature and Kuoni.
