Half term family sunshine for less with Almond Resorts

Almond Resorts, the operator of five four-star premium all-inclusive hotels in the Caribbean, has introduced a new pricing policy that commenced in January 2007 making Almond Resorts the perfect half-term family get away!
Almond Resorts has increased their child age limit from 12 to 16 years of age across all its family friendly properties on Barbados and St Lucia so children up to and including 16 years of age are now charged child prices by both Almond Resorts and participating airlines, significantly decreasing the price of a family holiday to Almond Resorts.
Families staying at either of the family friendly resorts, Almond Beach Village on Barbados or Almond Morgan Bay on St Lucia, can take advantage of the children’s club, which is offered free as part of the all-inclusive package and offers children four different programmes aimed at children aged from newborn infants up to 16 years old. Younger children can take part in face painting, puppet craft, flower art, hair braiding, watch videos or play games whilst older children can take part in cookery classes, movie star make-overs and disco nights. For teenagers there is a Teen Centre with Nintendo games and playstations.
For quality time as a family a huge variety of water-sports are on offer including motorised activities such water-skiing and banana boating, canoeing, snorkelling and sailing with free tuition as part of the all-inclusive package. Back on dry land tennis, volleyball and much more is available.
Whilst the little ones are enjoying themselves at the kids club, there is plenty for mums and dads to do as well. The hotels’ adult facilities include fitness centres, water sports with free tuition, swimming pools and for a bit of pampering, there are spa treatments such as massages, facials and manicures available at a locally payable price. For the evenings, if parents want to have a romantic night alone at one of the four gourmet a la carte restaurants, a private babysitting service is available for a locally payable fee.
Almond Resorts is opening two new family friendly resorts this year; Almond Smuggler’s Cove on St Lucia is due to open on 23 February 2007 whilst Almond Casuarina Beach Resort on Barbados is due to open on 15 March 2007. Both properties will offer the same family-orientated facilities as the existing Almond Resorts family friendly properties.
Virgin Holidays is offering seven night packages to Almond Smugglers Cove from £1,099 per adult and £349 per child (up to 16 years), for departures between 9 and 28 February 2007. These prices are based on two adults and up to two children sharing a room on an all-inclusive basis and include return scheduled flights (Virgin Atlantic ex-London and ex-Manchester), transfers and taxes.
