Almond Resorts International: Four Luxurious Resorts
Spectacular Locations, Superior Amenities, Outstanding Service...Memories are Made of This

Starting out in 1991 with one perfectly designed and managed resort on the glistening, sun swept shores of the Gold Coast of Barbados, Almond Resorts International has grown to be the Caribbean’s premier chain of all-inclusive resorts. The award-winning resort chain boasts two spectacular all-inclusive properties in Barbados, Almond Beach Village and Almond Beach Club & Spa, with a third, Almond Casuarina Beach Resort, also in Barbados, opening in late 2006. St. Lucia welcomed the first Almond Resort outside of Barbados in November 2005. Nestled among 22 acres of lush tropical gardens on a luxurious stretch of secluded sandy beach, Almond Morgan Bay is the ideal setting for a wonderfully enjoyable family vacation.

The laid-back luxury and unhurried ambiance of Almond Resorts set them apart from any other vacation spot in the Caribbean. Having pioneered the distinctive “For You. About You” concept which incorporates the ease of a pre-paid all-inclusive vacation with endless amenities and activities for guests to enjoy at their own pace, Almond Beach Resorts in Barbados offer vacationers two dazzling resorts and one incredible experience. Although both resorts have very distinct personalities, what they share in common is the Almond touch: sublime standards of service, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and an elegant but relaxed vacation experience, where guests choose their own pace to do a little or a lot. With reciprocal guest privileges and complimentary shuttle service between the resorts, located just ten minutes from each other – vacationers can enjoy both luxurious properties. Guests staying at Almond Morgan Bay in St. Lucia, have the option of making it a two-island trip, and vice versa.

Lavish accommodations, exciting activities, dozens of exhilarating water sports, decadent dining options, and top notch nightly entertainment, are the hallmarks of an Almond Resorts vacation, with something for everyone, from intimate romantic getaways just for two to business or groups of 200, enchanted weddings and honeymoons to fun and friendly adventures for the whole family.

Almond Resorts’ signature all-inclusive service includes all meals at any of the resort chain’s twelve gourmet restaurants, afternoon tea and hors d’oeuvres, all drinks including premium brand liquors, beer, fine house wines, tropical coolers, fruit juices and soft drinks, weekly Bajan and St. Lucian beach parties, room service for lunch and dinner, Children's clubs and family entertainment at all hotels except Almond Beach Club & Spa, live entertainment nightly, water sports with instruction including snorkeling, windsurfing, water-skiing, reef fishing, sunfish and catamaran sailing, kayaking, aqua cycling and banana boating, tennis, golf, the use of seventeen freshwater swimming pools plus jacuzzis, fitness centers, hair braiding, exchange program between the two properties (Barbados) for dining and activities with transportation, all taxes, gratuities and service charges.

Almond Beach Club & Spa, Barbados
Located in the parish of St. James, Almond Beach Club & Spa was launched in 1991 as a sophisticated and luxurious escape for vacationers seeking an alternative to the traditional “non-stop party” atmosphere offered by most all-inclusive resorts. With its cozy, intimate charm and club like feel combined with superlative accommodations and a stunning beachfront location, Almond Beach Club & Spa quickly became a favorite among adult travelers wanting an upscale, but comfortable retreat in a lush tropical setting. The resort quickly distinguished itself from other all-inclusive resorts by offering the convenience of an all-inclusive plan while still maintaining the stellar level of service expected at the finest European plan hotels and resorts worldwide.

Almond Beach Club & Spa is located 6 miles from Barbados’ capital city of Bridgetown and just 14 miles from Grantley Adams International Airport. The 161-room resort is nestled among rich tropical gardens on four verdant acres and overlooks the brilliant Caribbean Sea.

Almond Beach Club & Spa is proud to offer 8 lavish room categories including opulent suites. The resort accepts guests 16 years and older. All rooms include sumptuous appointments, stunning views, air conditioning, ceiling fan, private bath and shower, in-room safe, direct dial telephone, hair dryer, coffee/tea maker, king size or twin beds according to personal requests, radio, and color satellite television. The recently completed multi-million dollar renovation at the Almond Beach Club & Spa included elegant new mahogany furnishings in every room, upgraded bathrooms and new refrigerators. Every suite sports fully-stocked mini-bars. Ocean front suites offer dramatic roman soaking tubs and jacuzzis.

Dining at Almond Beach Club & Spa is always fresh, always delicious and a very authentic way to experience the Caribbean. With three restaurants, formal afternoon British-style tea, hors d’oeuvres served daily at the bar, early morning coffee, juice and pastries, anytime snacks, room service, Caribbean Beach parties, picnics, barbecues and four full bars including a beach bar and piano bar, there are decadent dining options to suit every taste.

The Spa at Almond Beach Club is like none other in the region. The brand new state-of-the-art European style spa offers a variety of the most sought after spa treatments including Swedish and aromatherapy massages, reflexology, hydrotherapy treatments, facials, body polishes, manicures, pedicures, salt glows, shiatsu, herbal and body wraps and more.

Activities abound at Almond Beach Club & Spa with a host of exciting options for those who want to do it all. With three spectacular fresh water pools, cool water jacuzzi, a full complement of land and water sports, a full service fitness center, and day and night tennis – there is always something to do. Nightly entertainment will keep guests up, up, up with the hottest musical shows and acts in the Caribbean. For guests that need to stay connected, free WiFi connection is offered in the public areas from the lobby through to the beach.

Almond Beach Village, Barbados
In late 1994, after the much-acclaimed success of Almond Beach Club & Spa, Almond Beach Village opened its doors in the parish of St. Peter on a stunning 32-acre beachfront estate. The resort is a spectacular and authentic Caribbean community in and of itself. The sprawling plantation is made up of a series of village accommodations intermingled with restaurants, bars, shops, boutiques, salon, sports complex, kids club, playgrounds, pools and more. Bordered by over a mile of white sand beaches and the endless blue waters of the Caribbean Sea, Almond Beach Village is a magnificent all-inclusive resort that defies the imagination of families, couples, groups and singles alike.

Steeped in history and culture like Barbados itself, the property was once home to the 18th century Heywoods sugar plantation, the remains of which are evident on the property today in the form of an ancient stone sugar mill tower that now serves as a wedding chapel. Yesterday’s fields of sugar cane have paved the way for the fertile plantation, rich tropical gardens, and lush foliage that now meander throughout the village setting.

Almond Beach Village is 11 miles from Barbados’ capital city of Bridgetown and just 19 miles from Grantley Adams International Airport. The 330-room resort is located on the West Coast of Barbados, which is commonly referred to as the sunset side of the island. Expansion plans include the addition of 100 rooms by end-2006.

Almond Beach Village has also undergone a series of multi-million dollar renovations and expansion, including upgrades to all rooms, suites and bathrooms. The resort offers 11 room and suite categories in seven different “villages” located throughout the property. All rooms include lavish appointments, dramatic views, balconies or patios, air conditioning, ceiling fan, private bath and shower, in-room safe, direct dial telephone, hair dryer, coffee/tea maker, king size or twin beds according to personal requests, radio and color satellite television.

From fun and kid friendly cuisine to gourmet dining for couples and adults, dining at Almond Beach Village is an exciting adventure with lots of great options and fabulous food. The resort offers five main restaurants, formal afternoon British-style tea, hors d’oeuvres served daily at the bar, morning coffee, juice and pastries for early risers, anytime snacks, room service, Caribbean Beach parties, picnics, barbecues, five full service bars including a beach bar, night club and more.

Families are fabulous at Almond Beach Village. Parents can have some well-earned time to themselves with the Kids Club Activity Center which has four levels of programs. With a fully equipped Nursery for babies (newborn to 23 months), a Mini Club for toddlers (24 months to 4 ½ years), Kids Club (4 ½ years to 12 years) and a Teen Center (13 years and up), kids of all ages are able to share in the fun. With a full schedule of fun activities, three kids-only swimming pools and two fully equipped playgrounds, there is always something for every kid to do no matter what age they are.

In December 2005, Almond Beach Village was selected by Child Magazine as one of the Top Ten family-friendly resorts in the Caribbean. The resort gleaned high marks and was one of two hotels topping the list of outstanding properties. The pioneering study by Child Magazine, is a data-driven survey developed with the assistance of a panel of well-respected family travel experts, specifically aimed at examining the quality of the children’s programs developed by each property, the staffing and safety factors, the quality, quantity and range of the available activities, the variety and nutritional soundness of menus, the availability of in-room options like full-size cribs and refrigerators, the scope of on-site medical care and issues relating to the number of security personnel on duty. Room rates were evaluated in relation to the number of family activities and the style of accommodations. The 122-question survey delved into details of the entire vacation experience and the ratings were awarded strictly on the basis of scores earned by the resorts under review.

The fun never stops at Almond Beach Village with action-packed adventures and activities for every age. Eleven freshwater pools and two Jacuzzis are located throughout the villages. A full array of land and water sports are available daily as well as a full service fitness center, billiards, two squash courts, four lighted tennis courts, and a beautiful par-3 nine-hole executive golf course. Guests of Almond Beach Village are welcome to use the Spa at the Almond Beach Club, with complimentary transportation provided. The resort comes alive at night with a variety of exciting entertainment options including live performances by talented artists and a nightclub for late night cocktails and dancing. Off-property picnics are offered to guests with a thirst for adventure.

Almond Beach Village rolls out the red carpet for groups of up to 200 people. The resort’s ample Conference Center is the perfect place for meetings, conventions, indoor receptions, gala dinners, elegant banquets and more.
