We also recognize that we have a social commitment to the local and regional community. To this end our hotels are committed to take actions:
- To achieve sound environmental practices across our entire operation while complying with all laws, regulations and industry standards.
- To implement programmes to minimize our use of energy, water and non-renewable resources, without compromising service
- To minimize hazardous chemical use in preference for natural alternatives.
- To achieve reductions in waste produced, by the application of the 4R’s: Rethink, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, and other initiatives such as composting.
- To invite our staff, guests and business partners to participate in our efforts to protect and enhance the environment
- To forge collaborative partnerships, Ministerial, Regional, Community, and NGO, to ensure the longevity of the tourism product and to achieve wider environmental goals
- To provide all employees with the training and resources required to meet our environmental objectives and ensure that all Department Heads are involved in setting environmental targets
- To communicate our policies and practices to our employees, guests and suppliers and to make this policy available to all stakeholders and the general public on request.
- To adopt a purchasing policy that support environmental products and local products and services wherever possible
- To promote all that is local: Food, Art, Craft, History, Music, Culture etc
- To mitigate environmental impacts to our precious ecosystems: Tropical Forest, Mangroves, Beach, Sea-grass beds and Coral Reefs and Beach Vegetation etc
- To regularly monitor our environmental performance relative to our policies, objectives and targets, and to maintain a continuous commitment to improve our environmental practices on a yearly basis
